BeaconEDU is a school safety, emergency communication, accountability, and incident-management platform intended for authorized school personnel and administrators.

Information We Collect

BeaconEDU may collect names, email addresses, organizational roles, school and room assignments, phone numbers, emergency-contact information, notification settings, incident records, messages, acknowledgements, accountability information, room-status reports, push-notification tokens, and system activity logs.

How We Use Information

Information is used to authenticate users, provide emergency alerts and communications, coordinate incident response, support staff and student accountability, administer organizations and users, generate reports, maintain system security, troubleshoot service issues, and improve platform reliability.

Emergency Communications

BeaconEDU may use configured contact information and device identifiers to deliver app notifications, email, SMS, voice calls, pager messages, or other authorized emergency communications as those services become available and are enabled by an organization.

Data Sharing

BeaconEDU does not sell personal information. Information may be shared with authorized administrators, designated school-safety personnel, emergency-response participants, and service providers required to host, secure, maintain, or deliver the platform.

Security

BeaconEDU uses reasonable technical, organizational, and administrative safeguards designed to protect platform data. No electronic system can guarantee absolute security or uninterrupted availability.

Data Retention

User, communication, incident, accountability, audit, and administrative records may be retained for operational, safety, reporting, legal, compliance, or organizational purposes. Retention practices may also be governed by the subscribing school or district.

Children

BeaconEDU is intended primarily for authorized adult school personnel and administrators. It is not offered as a general consumer service for children. Schools and districts are responsible for ensuring that their use of student information complies with applicable law and policy.

User and Organizational Responsibilities

Users and organizations are responsible for maintaining accurate information, protecting account credentials, controlling authorized access, configuring notification preferences, and following established emergency procedures.
