BeaconEDU Parent/Guardian Messaging Terms
Program name: BeaconEDU Parent/Guardian Messaging.
Participating K-12 schools and school districts use BeaconEDU to send school-to-parent/guardian communications to recipients who voluntarily opt in to SMS messaging.
Types of messages
Messages may include school safety alerts, emergency information, reunification instructions, closures, schedule changes, and other school-to-parent/guardian operational or informational communications. The program is not intended for third-party marketing or promotional messaging.
Frequency and charges
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier's messaging and data charges may apply.
Opt out and help
Reply STOP to opt out. After opting out, you will no longer receive SMS messages from the applicable BeaconEDU messaging program unless you later provide new consent.
Reply HELP for help. For additional assistance, contact your participating school or district or visit BeaconEDU Support.
Voluntary consent
SMS consent is optional and is not a condition of student enrollment, receiving school services, or receiving communications through other channels that may be available.
Delivery
Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery may be affected by carrier, device, network, power, Internet, or other conditions outside BeaconEDU's control.
